Testimonials
I wanted to thank you enormously for providing for us another wonderful week with our year 7 boys. We have had only very positive reports from the boys and their parents regarding the camp. Thank you for providing such a great setting and atmosphere for us. It was great to have a smooth transition to another Christian setting. Your work and words complemented beautifully our endeavours here at school to incorporate the Christian life into every part of life. Thanks to all members of your team too. I heard great life stories and look forward to hearing the next installments some time.

Many thanks to both you and Warren for another great camp for the Year 2s. We heard many of them saying... we don't want to go back to school! What a lovely way to end on a happy note for the end of their school year. I look forward to seeing you both next year!

The Victoria State Emergency Service has used Lyrebird Park as a venue for volunteer training since April 2007. The park is a fantastic venue for conducting practical training for VICSES volunteers in Land Search Techniques as well as Map Reading and Navigation.
The training facilities are excellent, and the accommodation and meals are always very well received by our volunteers. The staff even provide tea and snacks for course participants while we work on our training out in the bush.
So far VICSES has trained over 80 volunteers at Lyrebird Park, and the venue has become an integral part of our training program. VICSES has always had a high quality experience at Lyrebird Park, and we intend to use the park as a training venue well into the future

Viewbank College has held an annual two day camp for incumbent student leaders for the last 9 years at Lyrebird Park and over this time, we have not wavered in wanting to continue our association with Warren and Chen Lu and their staff. This camp is funded by our College Council, that believe it is instrumental in ensuring that the incumbent captains get a good understanding about the nature of leadership and the importance of teamwork as this enhances their effectiveness in improving the life of our college.  Over these years it has been a pleasure each year to return to an environment of great friendliness, great facilities and great food!  We know that when we leave, our students will have had an action-packed two day camp that will have stretched them mentally and physically and that we will have had the privilege of watching them grow towards the role they will embark upon. The lessons offered by Lyrebird Park about the morality of good leadership, the need for dynamic teamwork and about achieving goals as leaders are fundamental to our induction program for our student leaders. Our students always come away wanting more but in fact, they will have learnt what they need to start them off for for the challenges of the year ahead.

We are still talking about what a wonderful camp we had with you. Lots of great photos and great comments. One Mum thanked us and said her son had said it was the best week of his life, so thanks for all your patience and help.

Our women's ministry has used the facilities at Lyrebird park for both a day retreat and weekend camp and we have been delighted by our experiences.
Warren and Chen-Lu are at all times easy to approach and accommodating when at all possible.  Our women have relaxed in the wonderful environment  and enjoyed every morsel of the delicious food prepared for us.  Special dietary requirements were no issue for Chen-Lu as gluten free and low sugar needs were easily met. Thanks again for your always friendly and efficient service to us. We are already planning for our weekend retreat at Lyrebird Park for next year!

What a great place to run a weekend Retreat! The huge NEW large hall was perfect for our Scrapbooking Retreat and ChenLu and Warren couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcomed and serviced. They went out of their way to accommodate our "unique" requirements. The food was FABULOUS. Couldn’t fault it. A memorable weekend made stress free by our hosts.

I would like to thank you both for once again running an outstanding and professional camp for our students. Your exemplary organisation and running of the entire camp was commendable and much appreciated by the students and the staff. We would like to extend our special thanks for making our job of administering the students extremely easy over the four days.
Chen Lu, the students have told me over and over again how much they loved the food! Thankyou for providing our students with such wonderful and nutritious food for the four days, and a special thankyou must be extended for your catering for students with dietary needs.
Warren, thankyou for allowing our students to experience such amazing activities on your fantastic property. The opportunity for our students to be able to experience such positive and challenging activities is something that they carry with them throughout their time in Australia. Your individual work with students who struggled with activities was commendable and a credit to your work.
Could I also extend and ask you to pass on a very big thankyou and appraisal of your support staff. We were extremely pleased with how all of your staff went about leading the students through activities and highly appreciate all your efforts.
The kids are still very excited about their time on camp and the togetherness of the group is obvious. Thankyou, and see you again next year

Rarely do children have the opportunity to participate in activities,
which develop their sense of trust and belonging as much as they did
with you and your staff. Our children will take with them some very special skills and values bestowed upon them by you - the skill of working with and trusting others and the genuine value of respecting and caring for others.
The support and encouragement you so capably and willingly imparted to the children enabled them to really experience success with the activities.
The care, commitment, energy and amazing positive attitude to absolutely everything you do at Lyrebird Park makes your camp, a camp with a difference!
Thank you once again for such an amazingly exciting and challenging camp!

As part of assisting Secondary School students to cope with difficult life events and develop resilience to future challenges, the agency seeks to expose program participants to alternative learning environments – Lyrebird Park staff facilitated a stimulating, well paced and comprehensive program that succeeded in challenging the young people’s self imposed physical , psychological, social and emotional boundaries. A supportive but firm environment, in which campers felt safe to contemplate the choices posed by engaging in adventure based activities as well as those faced in their daily lives , was created. Successes were celebrated and learning opportunities reviewed at each step of the journey, helping to forge cohesive bonds between group members. Exceptional food quality and generous servings ensured we were well catered for… it was a high quality learning experience for the young people with whom we work.

The Youth crew is very much about identifying strengths and improving skills, focusing on building up a team of students who work together and support each other. The values and goals that you worked through with our group were very relevant to our course and to the skills they will hopefully take with them in every day life. What an adventure and a sense of achievement and teamwork gained!
